The single parent family has come increasingly more common as time goes on. They involve a parent and children. Most of there families have resulted from broken marriages, though now many are from unwed mothers. The chief advantage is from the feeling of mastery over ones life and the disadvantage is that sacrifices have to be made for family time and money.
